Tuesday, June 23rd, during a regular session of the Diocesan Council, a
new website was launched for the Eastern American Diocese. Click here
to visit the new site. The Council also declared a diocesan celebration
of the feast of the Royal Martyrs to be held in St. George's Church on
July 16th and 17th. Bishops George and Jerome will preside over the

окончаніи
Литургіи, въ
приходскомъ
залѣ всвязи
съ
американскимъ
праздникомъ
„День отца“
была
предложена
трапеза въ
честь всѣхъ
отцовъ
прихода.

- Sunday of all Russian Saints
On Saturday, June 20, two baptisms were performed at 2:00 PM at St.
Nicholas Church; joining the Orthodox faith was the handmaiden of
Elizabeth Hines, formerly Nicole, as well as the infant Peter, son of
Kaleriya Korovkina. At 6:00 PM began the All-Night Vigil on the eve of
the Feastday of all the Saints of Russia. On Sunday, June 21, an
Akathist to the Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II was read, after which
immediately began the Divine Liturgy. During the communion of the
clergy, Fr. Serge churched the infant Peter. Upon completion of the
Liturgy, a Father’s Day luncheon was held in the parish hall in honor
of the fathers of the parish. Click here

Заупокойную
литургiю. Въ
этомъ году
Троицкая
суббота
совпадаетъ
съ
шестидесятипятилѣтiемъ
Высадк въ
Нормандiи
Союзными
войсками. Въ
связи съ
этимъ, на
литургiи
поминали
всѣхъ
православныхъ
христiанъ,
животъ свой
положившихъ
во Второй мiровой
войнѣ. По
окончанiи
службы, о.
Сергiй
произнесъ
трогательную
проповѣдь о
томъ,
насколько
важно
молиться за
нашихъ
усопшихъ
сродниковъ
и всѣхъ здѣ
лежащихъ,
изъ
которыхъ
многiе уже
забыты.
Вечеромъ
богомольцы
собрались
въ широко
украшенномъ
зеленью Св.
Георгiевскомъ
храмѣ на
Всенощное
бдѣнiе
празднику
Св. Троицы.
Послѣ литiи,
которая
была
совершенна
крестнымъ
ходомъ подъ
колонольнымъ
звономъ,
впервые за
пятидесять
дней всѣ
присутствущiе
пропѣли „Царю
Небесный“.
Въ это время,
стоя
плечомъ къ
плечу,
прихожане
почувствовали
благодать
Св. Духа въ
этой
долгожданной
и важнѣйшей
для каждаго
христiанина
молитвѣ,
которая во
истинѣ
является
сокровищемъ
благихъ.
На
слѣдующее
утро вѣрующiе
вернулись
въ храмъ на
Божественную
Литургiю и
Великую
Вечерню съ
колѣноприклоненными
молитвами.
Приходской
хоръ подъ
управленiемъ
чт. Нектарiя
Лукьянова
прекрасно
украсилъ
праздничныя
богослуженiя
на радость
всѣмъ
прихожаномъ
и
богомольцамъ.
Въ концѣ
службы о.
Сергiй
провозгласилъ
многолѣтiе
Святѣйшему
настоятелю
Свято-Троицкiя
Сергѣевы
Лавры,
Митрополиту
Онуфрiю и
братiи Свято-Духовскаго
Собора въ
Черновцахъ,

связи съ
первой

окончанiи

состоялся
приходской
пикникъ, на
которомъ
прихожане
имѣли
возможность
поздравить
другъ друга
съ
праздникомъ
и
пообщаться
передъ
Петровскимъ
постомъ.

June 6th, on Pentecostal Soul Saturday, Fr. Serge and Fr. Leonid
served the Divine Liturgy for the Departed in St. John the Baprist
chapel at St. Vladimir's cemetery. This year, Trinity Soul Saturday
coincides with the 65th anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy by the
Allied Forces in WWII. In conjunction with this, the souls of
"all those departed in the Second World War" were
commemorated during the Liturgy. At the end of the service, Fr. Serge
delivered a touching sermon about the importance of praying for our
departed loved ones and for all those here laid to rest, of whom a
great many are already forgotten. In the evening, worshippers gathered
in the splendidly decorated St. George's Church for the All-Night
Vigil for the feast of the Holy Trinity. After the Artoklasia (Litiya),
which was performed in a procession around the church under a
cannonade of bells, all those gathered together were able for the
first time to sing the prayer "O Heavenly King." During this
time, all standing shoulder to shoulder, parishioners felt the Grace
of the Holy Spirit through this long-awaited and most important for
every Christian of prayers, which is truly the "treasury of good
things."
The following morning, the faithful returned to church for the Divine
Liturgy and Great Compline with the kneeling prayers. The parish
choir, under the direction of Rd. Nektary Lukianov, beautifully
decorated the festive services to the joy of all of the assembled
parishioners and worshippers. At the end of the service, Fr. Serge
proclaimed the polychronion to the Most Holy rector of the Holy
Trinity St. Sergius Lavra, Metropolitan Onuphry and the brethren of
the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Chernovtsy, to Archimandrite Luke and
the brethren of the Holy Trinity monastery in Jordanville, and also to
Fr. Leonid, in honor of the one year anniversary of his ordination to
the diaconate. Upon completion of the Liturgy, a parish picnic was
held, during which parishioners were able to congratulate one another
with the holiday and celebrate before the beginning of the Apostle's
Fast. Click here
